Favorite Things

One of Ethan's favorite things to do is be a super hero (he has 2 red spiderman suits, a black spiderman suit and a batman suit).

One of Addison's favorite things to do is take a bath.

I had better go to bed... need to run to target early in the morning to buy poster board for Ethan's 100 day project. Also need to get more pictures of Grandma and Grandpa with both of the kids... I wanted to post some photos after my "amazing parents" post and couldn't find very many. Shouldn't be hard to get more of those photos since we see them almost everyday. Goodnight.

Amazing Parents

I am so lucky to have such amazing parents and my kids are so lucky to have such amazing grandparents.
Ron and I are both working odd hours and full time... we try to maximize the amount of time that one of us is home with the kids... but we still run into some overlap time where we need sitters and I feel like I spend a lot of evenings alone with the kids and Ron feels like he spends a lot of nights alone with the kids ~ and of course, I usually feel behind with cleaning house, paying bills, running a business, doing homework/reading with Ethan, etc...
Mom and Dad are always there to lighten the load... Mom and Dad have me & the kids over for dinner several times per week (and then send me to work with a plate of food)... they also watch the kids several times per week... tonight Mom took Addison to a church meeting with her and Dad took Ethan indoor rock climbing while Ron played in his city basketball game. On top of this, Mom surprised me with food at work tonight. I know my parents LOVE my little family and it feels so good to know when Ethan and Addison are with them they are so well taken care of.

Dressed by Daddy

It is always pretty cute (and entertaining!) when Ron gets Addison dressed. Yesterday was cousin Reese's birthday party and Ron had to work... before he left for work he got Addison ready and put her down for a nap. This is the outfit she was in when she woke up from her nap.


It is a very cute onesie and I love the tights... hmmmm... not sure they go together?!?

After a little Mommy help... she is ready to party!

Team BYU

It has been pouring rain for 3 days here in Napa. After a great day of sleep (thanks to Ron always doing his best to let me sleep after my night shifts), I noticed Ethan had quite the excess energy to burn. I told him to get dressed in warm clothes because we were going to find a place for him to burn some energy... I was going to let him run around in the rain but then came up with another idea and we hit up the church gym. Ethan was on BYU's basketball team, I was on the Colts and Grandma was on the Dolphins.

We switched off playing with Ethan and rooting for him (I was the "mom" and grandma was the "dad") ~ Despite what you may think from the teams we were all on, Ethan knows the game of basketball pretty well from years of watching Uncle Zach play. He did warm-up layups, free throws, stretches and around the back dribbling... such a bundle of energy. I arrived back home just in time for a great dinner made by Ron, kisses from my little girl and back to work tonight.

6 Months

Ron took Addison to see Dr. Morgese today for her 6 month check up.
She is 15 lbs 12 oz and 27 inches.



Addison loves to smile and laugh ~ especially at her big brother. She loves to drool but doesn't have any teeth yet. She is rocking back and forth on her knees... not quite crawling but moves backwards and in circles. Daddy set up her jumper today and she loves it. I sure love this little girl.

Tea Party & Tutu

My girlfriend Kristin watched Addison for me today while I had a class at work. This was the cute scene I walked into when I arrived to pick her up. Chloe and Addison were having a tea party and, of course, Addison was wearing a tutu over her sleeper! I had to go back to my car and get my camera... so, so adorable.

On the Move

Although Addison is not officially crawling... she is on the move... she is scooting and moving herself all over the room. She also rocks back and forth on her hands and knees. I'd better put the baby gates up.

Our trip down south included Addison meeting Uncle Bob, Aunt Barbara, Cousin Danny & Christina and Uncle Bob's Mom... she loved all the attention.

Warner Brothers Studio Tour

One of the highlights from our quick trip down south...

Private Tour of Warner Brothers Studio by Ron's Cousin Brad - sound stages, museums (the entire 2nd story devoted to Harry Potter films), costume warehouse, outdoor filming locations - all within the 110 acre Warner Brothers Lot.

This is a set... not a real street, not real stores, not real trash cans, not real street lights, etc...

Disneyland

Here is Ethan with Mickey Mouse. We are taking a break now and are back at the hotel room. I have been trying to get Ethan to take a nap but in protest he stripped down naked and started yelling. I guess it wasn't the best idea to take a 5 year old away from Disneyland and try to force him to take a nap.

Addie's Dessert

After Addison had her pears for dinner last night, Grandpa decided it was time for her to try a little whip cream for dessert. She wasn't quite sure what to make of it at first but she soon decided it was yummmmmy!!!

Thoughts about Family... by Ethan

My favorite thing about the holidays is being together with my family. This is a photo that was taken of everyone at Thanksgiving. I went through the photo with Ethan and asked him to tell me what he thinks of when he hears each family member's name... no editing!!!
